Welcome to Deb's Diamonds!
in our setting, children are at the centre of everything we do!
My name is Debbie Foley and I have been an Ofsted Registered Childminder for 20 years. On my last inspection, I achieved an Outstanding grade, and more recently in July 2022 retained Outstanding grade in all areas.
I have completed COVID-19 awareness training and I am carrying out strict hygiene routines to ensure the safest environment for all children.
I live in Upholland, Lancashire with my husband Darran who is registered as my assistant with Ofsted. We have one son (22) that lives with us, the others are all grown and have left home.
At Deb's Diamonds we have a self-contained cabin in our secure back garden that has a kitchen area, toilet & baby changing facilities.
I offer both full time & part time care for children from 3 months to around 11 years old. This allows me to provide toys, equipment & resources and organise activities & outings geared specifically to that age group, without compromising older children's very different needs.

My Vision
The aim of my setting is to provide attentive, sensitive care to children ensuring they are safe, secure and happy, thus enabling them to learn and develop in a holistic, cross curricular manner.
This is achieved by way of high-quality teaching and positive interactions combined with quality resources and rich and inviting experiences.
We enjoy calm days in an environment which promotes respect and tolerance, where creativity and individuality is valued and celebrated, and where all voices are listened to.
As a result, we nurture confident, resilient, and resourceful learners; proud of who they are and where they come from.
Choosing the right care for your child will be one of the most challenging decisions of your life.
If you would like your child to experience home-based care, you initially need to feel assured they will be safe and secure and receive high quality, attentive care from a qualified practitioner who takes time to get to know your child as an individual and understands how children learn and develop.
You also need to know they will be happy, stimulated and provided with wide ranging and varied opportunities to enjoy new experiences and make friends. You will want them to be able to participate fully in all activities, regardless of their age or ability, be treated equally and form close bonds with their carer.
Flexibility is key in our challenging lives, and as such, I do not have a set open and close time. I work closely with parents and will accommodate your requirements and aim to be as flexible as I possibly can.
Finally, you will be seeking a professional, reliable service which will allow you to return to work yet be able to communicate with your child-carer and be updated on events and your child's progress each day.
